2009 ended with COP15 - the Copenhagen Climate Change summit (7-18 December).

The UK's Big Freeze: the worst winter for decades

This AWESOME image (courtesy of the University of Dundee Satellite Receiving Station) shows just how much of the UK is affected by the current "Big Freeze".

The UK is currently experiencing some of the worst winter weather on record, with entire settlements cut off, roads blocked, rock salt levels dangerously low and temperatures as low as -21 degrees centigrade.
